@joshduffy+rob pinchon;
New Dust is lovely. Just, lovely.
Totally took the fam out for a meal at the Hard Rock in MCR for mums birthday last night, and it was brilliant. Me and mark had these ginormous burgers and the chips were amazing. Instead of bringing over a desert menu, the waitress goes ahead and bring the actual puddings to the table. Shit. No-one could resist, even though we were all full to fucckkkkk. I had a peanut butter sundae, i think they knew i was coming.
Anyways, me, woody and mum are going to that massive Toy shop ‘Smtyhs’ today, which should be good.
++++++++ Cant wait for Edinburgh, Caribou and pissing about (making serious moozak) with joshes new gadgetry.

I haven’t been on the internet for so long. In fact, I’ve been working so much that I now pay National Insurance (d’fuck?) However, im not going to be a dipshit and spend it all on clothes, that’s what my staff card is for. I’ve saved £300, squirrelled it away for a rainy day (next summer, incidentally.)
Couple of News Flashes
- They don’t do degrees in Haiku or travelling around Japan, i checked.
-My fingers are shredded so i’ve had to take a break from playing acoustic guitar, well, I’ve cut down. However, on the upside; we crafted a piece of gloomy tribal magnificence the other day.

Damn.
Southport, right now. well, its not night-time but yknow what I mean.
Damn, I cant decide which uni to go to.
Cheers Fry.
- My car failed its MOT, so the motherfucker is now worthless. Damn.
- I’m working Monday to Friday, something which, in my younger and more vulnerable years, im sure i swore i’d never do.
- There are some downsides to working with 2 of your best friends, namely organising time off work.
- I had to make a bacon & egg toastie this morning, only without the bacon (i was already frying the eggs, okay?) and it was surprisingly nice.
- In the market, there’s these two little old ladies who’ll do any alterations and clothing repairs for dirt cheap. I got a hat fixed for £1. £1!!
Even though I don’t feel particularly confident with my self directed project this week, looking at Film Noir/ Art House/ Sci-Fi cinematography is really interesting!!

‘Good Evening.’
Me and Rob watched this film last night called ‘Double Take.’ Its pretty difficult to explain so here’s a neatly pasted explanation;
“Double Take is a 2009 film by Belgian director Johan Grimonprez, which intercuts clips and interviews with Alfred Hitchcock with archive footage of cold war news coverage, and tells the story of the rise of “fear as a commodity”. The novelist Tom McCarthy provides a monologue read by a Hitchcock impersonator, describing a fictional meeting between Hitchcock and his double, on the 1962 set of The Birds.”
Its all post-modern fractured narratives, eerie audio clips of birds and guns, and instant coffee adverts from the 50’s. Anyway, its really good.
